Research Associate Position

Position Description:

The successful applicant will participate in scientific product research and development efforts.

Responsibilities
• Plan, organize, and conduct scientific experiments in a laboratory environment.
• Reagent/Buffer solution preparation.
• Maintenance of laboratory notebook as an up-to-date detailed log of experiments and ongoing research efforts.
• Operation of laboratory equipment including thermal cyclers, centrifuges, lyophilizers, etc.
• Assist supervisors and/or associates as needed.

Qualifications
• BS in the life sciences (e.g., Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related discipline).
• Preference will be given to those individuals experienced with PCR, Gel-electrophoresis, blotting methods, endonuclease digestion, and a general knowledge of DNA and RNA-based laboratory procedures.
• Basic computer skills that include word processing and spreadsheet use (i.e., Microsoft Word and Excel).
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills is a must.
• Previous research experience is preferred.

Research Internship Position

Position Description: We are currently seeking a manufacturing coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing the assembly and preparation of ZRC products. The successful applicant will also be responsible for coordinating product testing and QC, product lot-number designation and reference, and facility management and maintenance.

Job Description
The successful applicant will be responsible for final product (kit) assembly. This includes the testing and inspection of product according to documented Manufacturing Instructions (MIs). Responsibilities also include the cleaning and maintenance of an assigned workstation with equipment and materials. Also, the individual will be responsible for the maintenance of product inventory and supplies. They will comply with documented company policies and procedures, including quality, safety, and environmental policies.

Qualifications
• Ability and desire to work in a manufacturing environment.
• B.S. or equivalent. An emphasis in science, engineering, or math is preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills that include word processing and spreadsheet use (i.e., MS Word and Excel).
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills is a must.
• Comfortable working with possibly dangerous and/or corrosive chemicals.
• Prior experience in a biology manufacturing field or warehouse stockroom experience is a plus.
