Business Development Associate

The primary responsibility of Business Development Associate is to support partnering efforts and new business opportunities for Epimorphy. The ideal candidate will have a life sciences background and relevant experience in sourcing, negotiating, structuring and executing partnership deals in the pharma, biotech, nutrition, molecular diagnostics and healthcare industry. This role will report to and work closely with the CEO and interact with a broad range of Epimorphy teams to identify and pursue partnership and sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for Epimorphy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and assist on negotiating a variety of partnership contracts.
  • Support the identification and develop strategic relationships of new partnering opportunities across industry, academia and the non-profit sectors.
  • Gather relevant facts and use sound judgement to determine optimal partnership opportunities to pursue.
  • Pitch partnership opportunities to prospective partners.
  • Evaluating/exploring business ideas and value propositions for the life sciences and molecular diagnostics market according to the company criteria.
  • Developing and executing market awareness and education campaigns.
  • Some travel will be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a life science discipline.
  • 2- 5 years’ experience in life sciences field, commercial ops or consulting/selling diagnosis test to healthcare space.
  • Ability to independently set and meet deadlines and motivate others to meet deadlines.
  • Independent, proactive and self-motivated attitude
  • Strong collaboration skills and must also be able to network and cold call prospects with confidence to gain new clients.
  • Background in sales and marketing in the life sciences, pharma, molecular diagnostics and healthcare industries preferred
  • Familiar with direct to consumer sales channels.
  • Experience in life sciences, molecular diagnostics, and healthcare market assessment and commercial strategy, commercial operations, product and portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated success in developing strong partnerships and revenue opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
