Position Title: Accounts Receivable Accounting Associate
Location: 2911 Dow Avenue, Tustin, CA
Reports to: Team Leads/Senior Financial Analyst
Summary/Contribution of Position:

Responsible for accounts receivable accounting records with regards to deposits and collections for the company. Duties include performing a variety of clerical and entry-level bookkeeping and accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Daily posts customer payments received by check, ACH, wire into NetSuite.
  2. Daily reviews and addresses invoice listed on exception report.
  3. Issues credit memos when necessary.
  4. Process customer credit card payments when needed.
  5. Maintains accurate customer files; keeps track of name changes, mergers, address changes, and mailing attentions for the shipping and fulfillment department; relays this information to the appropriate personnel.
  6. Responsible for collections of outstanding invoices and generating past due notices on assigned accounts.
  7. Order office supplies when needed.
  8. Respond to customer inquiries from accounting inbox.
  9. Duplicates, files, and retrieves accounts receivable material as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Working knowledge of bookkeeping theories and practices and accepted office procedures.
  2. Ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy, to make difficult mathematical computations with and without mechanical assistance (ability to operate a calculator by touch).
  3. Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions and technical or legal terminology.
  4. Ability to prepare financial and other records in a systematic, neat, legible manner.
  5. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, a variety of governmental employees and officials, and the general public.
  6. May require the ability to type at a speed of at least 40 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy.
Education and Experience:
  1. High school graduation or its equivalent, including courses in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance.
  2. At least 3 year's experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or secretarial assignments involving advanced recordkeeping (directly related business school or college courses may be substituted equally for up to 1 year of experience); OR
  3. Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
