Summary/Contribution of Position:

Zymo Research is looking for a Sales Manager to join our Commercialization team with a focus on tele sales. The Sales Manager will be responsible for supervising and organizing the activities and outreach of the Zymo account management and sales teams. The Sales Manager will be critical in shaping and evolving the sales process, developing business plans, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with the marketing department on lead generation efforts. They will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitate the ongoing training of your account management and sales teams.

The successful Sales Manager will work and collaborate closely with marketing and product management teams to achieve common goals. They will develop playbooks, sales SOP’s, and other foundational documents to ensure their team is successful.

The ideal candidate has a track record of success leading small account management and/or sales teams with a focus on tele sales. Experience in medical device, bioscience, or other technical industry a plus. If you are looking to join a dynamic, growing team in a high-impact role, we want to speak with you. Sales Manager Responsibilities:
  • Develop monthly/quarterly sales programs
  • Coaching, mentoring, and training of account management and sales teams
  • Develop playbooks, process and sales SOP’s
  • Perform weekly performance reviews
  • Analyzing team performance trends
  • Call plan assignment and management
  • Database ownership
  • Monthly leadership reporting
  • Coordinate sales forecast with operations
  • Pursues, follows-up, and establishes strong relationships and future business with potential customers
  • Maintains strong relationships and customer loyalty by identifying customer needs, providing solutions and creating relationships with key customers

 

Marketing Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years in a sales role with at least 3 years managing a team
  • Tele sales experience required
  • Customer service orientation
  • Proven experience and clear track record of success growing market share in a B2B sales role
  • Strong execution capability in a complex, rapidly evolving business
  • Outstanding oral and written communication, and presentation skills including the ability to clearly convey complex ideas and concepts
  • Self-starter with excellent self-leadership and management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with relevant technology (MSOffice – Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Project Management tools, etc.)
  • A working knowledge of marketing and CRM tools, with exposure to salesforce sales tools
  • Market development experience a plus
