Compatibility | Purified, synthetic SARS-CoV-2 RNA ladder is validated for use with Bio-Rad’s CFX96 Touch™ Real-Time PCR Detection System with corresponding CFX Maestro software and the Quick SARS-CoV-2 Multiplex Kit (R3013). However, it can be used in any RT-qPCR system and RT-qPCR master mix that targets the N-gene in SARS-CoV-2. |

Q1: Do I need my own PCR mastermix?
Yes! The SARS-CoV-2 RNA Quantification Standards do not come with a master mix, and have been validated for use with the Quick SARS-CoV-2 Multiplex Kit (R3013) Master Mix (2X CV Mix).
Q2: How many times can the product be freeze-thawed?
The product is guaranteed for up to 3 freeze-thaw cycles. To minimize excess freeze thaw cycles, the standards can be aliquoted into smaller volumes upon receival.
Q3: Is there a specific thermocycler I should use?
Yes; these standards are validated for use with Bio-Rad’s CFX96 Touch™ Real—Time PCR Detection System.
Q4: Should I keep the standards cold before use?
Yes, the SARS-CoV-2 RNA Quantification Standards should be stored at -80°C. The standards should be thawed and kept on ice while in use.
Q5: What happens if my samples are highly concentrated and outside the standard curve?
To ensure accurate quantification, the sample RNA template can be diluted as needed to fall within the kit’s range of 8 copies/µL to 5000 copies/µL.
