Quality Assurance Intern

Job Summary:
Zymo Research is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Quality Assurance team! The qualified individual will be responsible for supporting the quality assurance activities related to the development and manufacture of products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the QA department in drafting, planning, and implementing quality programs, projects, processes, and activities to ensure compliance with ISO9000 standards and other relevant quality standards.
  • Support adherence to procedures and policies while providing oversight and reviewing operational procedures.
  • Assist in managing equipment qualification, calibration, and maintenance programs.
  • Review procedures, protocols, and technical documents to ensure compliance with ISO9001 and other applicable quality requirements and company objectives.
  • Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) derived from nonconformance reports and participate in internal/external audits and facility inspections.
  • Complete required quality questionnaires from customers.
  • Support the QA department in customer audits and inspections, as well as certification processes for various quality standards.
  • Assist in conducting internal audits under the guidance of the QA department.
  • Assist product developers and other departments involved in Design Control, offering support and assistance as required.
  • Participate in Management Review meetings and weekly QA remediation meetings.
  • Assist with quality assurance initiatives for various internal projects and processes.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering field, or equivalent degree.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interest in Quality Assurance REQUIRED!
  • Some laboratory experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated professional integrity with confidential information
  • Self-motivated
  • Detail oriented
  • Adaptable
  • Ability to solve problems analytically, creatively and collaboratively
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn new things

Compensation:

The estimated base compensation range for this position is $20 per hour at the time of posting. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
