The ZR-96 BashingBeadTM Lysis Rack (Barcoded) is a 96-well microbial lysis rack which enables complete homogenization/lysis of tough-to-lyse bacteria, fungi, yeast, and other cells from a variety of sample types including feces, soil, sludge, saliva, swabs & other biological samples, making it ideal for high-throughput microbial community profiling and pathogen detection by mechanical bead beating based nucleic acid purification systems on automated platforms. Designed to be used for microbial lysis prior to nucleic acid purification with the ZymoBIOMICS 96 MagBead DNA Kit (D4306), the ZymoBIOMICS 96 DNA Kit (D4307) or equivalent.

- A stabilizing snap-on Baseplate is included to immobilize tubes during the bead beating process so that the rack lid can remain attached.
- For Capping/Decapping:
- Automated screw cap capper/decapper, such as the 96-channel Micronic 96 Screw Cap Recapper CS700 or semi-automated (8-channel) Cap Recapper CS500. A Screwdriver tool (Cat. No. 3DP-1004) is included for manual de-capping.
